The thinning and thickening of linework in animated assets play a crucial role in creating a convincing sense of perspective when scaling. This technique compensates for the reduction in size and prevents the linework from appearing too thin or getting lost within the scaled-down asset. Conversely, when an asset is scaled up, the linework is delicately thinned out to maintain the illusion of a consistent line weight. This visual adjustment ensures that the linework does not become overly heavy or disproportionate in relation to the enlarged asset, preserving the intended aesthetic and coherence.
